With over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Mark is the President and CEO of Axine. His career journey includes diverse roles in drug discovery, operations, financial management, business development, licensing, and venture capital. He has been a board member for digital health companies including Wellth, xCures, and Optina Diagnostics, and represented Boehringer Ingelheim in a fund-in-fund investment. Mark’s academic background comprises an MS degree (Chemistry) from Memorial University (Canada) and an MBA (Finance) from the University of Connecticut. His vast expertise is an invaluable asset in shaping Axine’s vision for the future.

Victor brings extensive experience in technology and product development, specializing in advanced materials for industries including wastewater treatment, construction, pulp & paper, and medical sectors. His expertise encompasses product conceptualization, prototype design, lab, and field testing, commercial scale-up, and dedicated customer application support. Victor leads technology development, product validation, lab services, field testing and intellectual property management within Axine. Collaborating closely with product development, engineering, and business teams, he ensures seamless alignment between customer requirements, technology performance, and service delivery. Victor holds a Ph.D. in Materials Engineering from The University of British Columbia and boasts 7 patents and patent applications to his name. His valuable contributions play a pivotal role in advancing Axine’s innovative wastewater treatment solutions.

Andrew Mrasek brings over 20 years of experience in sales leadership, strategic marketing, and technical product development from the automotive, energy, and industrial automation markets. As part of the Nidec Drives leadership team prior to joining Axine, Andrew spearheaded major organizational transformations, from restructuring international operations to developing targeted market segments in HVAC, pumping, elevator systems and machinery automation. His leadership extended into digital innovation and planning as vice president of sales and marketing, developing system configuration tools, top to bottom lead generation processes, and strategic growth planning initiatives for direct & indirect global business. He holds both an MBA from the Georgia Institute of Technology College of Management and a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Georgia Tech’s College of Engineering.

Jon has nearly 20 years of experience in facility engineering and project management in water treatment, oil and gas, and mining. Prior to joining Axine, Jon served as VP Projects at BQE Water, a company specializing in technology development, scale-up, engineering and operation of mine wastewater treatment plants. At Axine, he leads the engineering and manufacturing team, focused on delivering high-quality treatment systems on aggressive timelines. Jon holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Calgary and is a registered P Eng in BC.
